Anyone have any opinions on whether it is better to pulse antibiotics with breaks given, or go on one like Rocephin for a prescribed length of time. Wouldn't pulsing cause drug resistance? That is a big fear. Have seen Dr. J in DC who does this pulsing, and Dr. S in MD who does not. What to do?

Shark, what you are noticing is that doctors have different protocols and they result in differences like what you are describing.
Dr. S. basically follows the Burrascano protocol which generally does not pulse medications.
Dr. J has created his own protocol and it is nearly all pulsing.
Doctors come to believe in certain protocols based on their experience. Then, they treat everyone based on the protocol they believe is the best.
One person asked Dr. J about pulsing causing drug resistance and he told her that he has treated thousands of patients this way. So, that is his answer.
See this post. It is a write-up of the Dr. J protocol.
