I've started having air hunger this last month. I don't have any other Babesia symptoms, but the air hunger is really driving me nuts. Can this be a Lyme thing? Is there anything I can do to help?

--------------------
Lyme, Bart, possible Babs
Currently on IV Doxy, Bactrim, Zithromax, Nystatin, Mepron
Been on nearly every antibiotic since 10/09

About 60% improvement. Dizziness, air hunger remain.

I have been to 2 LLMD's and neither one of them thought I have Babs even though I have air hunger. It cleared up pretty quickly with Biaxin or zith for me, but usually comes back if I stop those.

Yup. Lyme thing.
Had air hunger, esp. in the evening & I had no babesia. No other 'babs' symptoms AND the IgeneX babesia panel was clear.
(I asked for a whole battery of panels be run)

Not sure what can "help" other than staying on the Lyme treatment.
My air hunger faded after a couple months.

Is air hunger basically feeling very out of breath?

If so, I experience this as well. I have lyme and bartonella. I will soon be tested for babesia due to my symptoms.

Very frustrating. I often get it first thing in the morning. I walk down the stairs and feel like I just ran a marathon.

All the best to you!
