So, continuing my post from yesterday...I'm going to be starting 500mg of Levaquin in September.
I'm a bit nervous about all of the potential tendon issues.
Can others who have used it and had positive outcomes let me know what you did?
-Did you take Magnesium? If so, how much? I take Mag Tab-SR (4 pills / day) but I am not sure if this is enough.
-Did you exercise at all while on Levaquin? I'm about to start my exercise protocol but don't want to damage any tendons.
-Did you take any other Abx with Levaquin?
-Any other tips?
I really want to use the Levaquin to hit the Bart hard. But don't want to have permanent damange.
Thanks!

Okay...so I googled Levaquin and now I'm scared. Is this really this dangerous? Should I switch to Rifampin? Not liking this one bit. Maybe these are just the complainers and the majority do okay.

I have taken same dose daily for past 2 weeks. Felt a little tiredness after taking it and this still happens but less so. I do a 1 hr high repetition dumbbell work out 3x/week and about 10 days into the levaquin I had to shave some reps off my workouts, but now I am nearly back to where I was pre-levaquin. Starting to have more energy to do things like go for extra walks and to do things around the house etc. So I did have some minor aches and pains but killing off Bartonella may have been the cause. I do take 800 mg of magnesium glycinate and 2-3 grams of vitamin C every day and hopefully that is helping to ward off any tendon issues.
