I was diagnosed in March, doing slow but surely better, late stage Lyme One week after being rear ended at a stoplight, my neuro symptoms slowly returned, now three weeks out it is as bad as it was months ago. Has anyone else had a trauma and had symptoms flare back? Going to my LLMD tomorrow to discuss....

Lyme can flare in response to a trauma like that. It often takes a stressor to trigger it.

I hope you are doing "OK" otherwise from the wreck. I was rear-ended in '98. Totaled my car. Won't bore you with details!

I think the borrelia love injuries, I believe they flock to any. I don't know why.
But I know my sites of injuries or falls are very symptomatic...

I had two accidents (1 broken nose, 1 whiplash) last year that greatly increased my symptoms
I am now more careful...
I am not surprised at all by the increase in your symptoms after a car accident. Its so frustrating though- I'm so sorry this happened to you!

mine also got much worse from several accidents and hospitalizations.
taking additional vitamins might help, plenty of sleep, etc.
stress really sends my lyme through the roof.

I was in a full remission 6 years ago. I had a bad car accident and had a full relapse worse than I ever was in the first place. The LLMD I went to see told me that it could have been from the trauma of the accident or from the steroids they gave me at the hospital.

- I also got much worse with even minor fender benders, even minor. I think the Adrenal Shock of it all also greatly affects those with such infections. -
