I have read it helps detox your liver and gall bladder. I'm sure you can google it and find all kinds of info since lemon water has been a popular detox means for awhile.
About eating a lot of lemons it is a known fact that the acid in lemons can deteriorate your teeth enamel. People on the board have reported this problem. My dentist recommended I drink lemon water thru a straw to avoid so much contact with my teeth. She said she drinks it that way daily.

- Nothing actually "detoxes" but helps our body do the work.
Lemon water can help in many ways. But, don't over do anything. Our body can be pushed too fast. A combination of gentle support methods is best.
I suggest you read the book: Detoxify or Die - by Sherry Rogers, MD. It's at Amazon.
Be sure to rinse and swish your mouth several time with plain water after drinking lemon water - even if through a straw. It's vital to clear the mouth of acid. And do not brush for a couple hours as the acid makes the enamel soft and it needs time to harden back up so that brushing does not wear away tooth enamel. -
