When doing Rocephin, is nausea always a gallbladder issue?

Side effect-herx? Dizziness is an issue as well, but the nausea happens separately. We are trying to keep tabs on yeast, but its impossible to know if its working. Doing alot of Therelac and Floromyces-(far apart).

My DD is on Actigal and only 1g of Roc.

LLND feels that nausea is" to be expected when on so many meds and supps."

It could be a side effect. Make sure that your daughter is taking her meds and supplements with food. There are only a few things that should be taken on an empty stomach and that is usually mentioned on the label.

Make sure your daughter is eating small frequent meals (protein +complex carb) to prevent blood sugar spikes and drops. It helps to stay well hydrated too.

Some other things that may help: ginger chews or capsules, OTC meclizine, RX zofran, or RX phenergan.

Thank you for your suggestions.

Her nausea happens at different times on and off all day and night. There does not seem to be a specific cause.

We try to give her something to eat every two hours or less and we take all meds and supps with food. Ginger capsules don't always work, haven't tried the others mentioned yet.

She did not have any nausea before we started IV Roc so of course we are nervous about this new symptom. Really hoping its not pre gallbladder sludging. We have been using lemon water and Intestinal Drawing Formula for detox...just a thought... maybe its the drawing formula?

Thank you again for your help

For nausea my 10 year old daughter has used chewing gum with ginger in it. She likes the flavor of it. We got it at CVS and it is called "Sea-Band anti-Nausea Ginger Gum".

My son had nausea as a main Lyme symptom long before starting IV rocephin. He gets it every once in a while especially during a flare like last week. His doctor has 3 different scripts for him for nausea because he was getting so depressed when he couldn't do anything at age 14. He has a big med for when it is the worst, he has a middle med for when not well but not terrible and then he has an under the tongue one at a small dose he can suck on and work up to 3 or 4 and comfortable. I know I'm no help because I don't have the names. I do know zofran is one of them.
How old is she?

--------------------
Things are never dull. After 3 fighting Lyme, 2 are in remission. Youngest is still sick, age 22. He has new diagnosed Chiari Malformation and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.
