There's a herbal aspirin-like product which will *not* hurt the stomach. Mucillages in the herbs are gel-like substances that not only shield the gut from inflammation, but which themselves also soothe. So there is a counterbalance in nature to the aspirin-like salycins in the herbs, nature is wise!

Try also some homeopathics, you can google the Homeopathic Materia Medica by Boericke and Teufel (B+T) and look up remedies there. Note that the personality profile has to match as much as the symptoms, though not every jot and every letter has to match. JUst the generalized picture.
What kind of inflammation are you talking about? In what part of the body? Herbs are geared to specific bodily areas, so if you say more about the inflammation and where it is, it is easier to let you know some info and then you can research it, take it to your doctor to ask questions, etc.
