Theralac is best.

Culterelle maybe or pearls, but neither is as good as Theralac.

I take Florastor twice daily and refrigerated probiotics 3 times a day (3 different ones). When I travel I pack my medicine pill containers for the trip. The refrigerated probiotics are unrefrigerated while I travel (up to two weeks at a time) but I've done fine....which means I've not gotten C. diff (which I had once before--for 11 long months) so I must be doing something right.

Best, Timaca

We just traveled and my Doctor told me to get DR Ohhira's probiotics. I found them at Whole Foods.

I take Ortho Molecular Probiotics, which are shelf stable. It also combines probiotics, so I only take one type daily. I found it at the local compounding pharmacy.

Lymetoo - I thought Theralac had to be refrigerated? My son uses it and we always keep it refrigerated.

I take Prescript Assist Pro even when I am not traveling. I've taken them for 3 years with no problems.

Yes, Theralac is to be refrigerated, but I remember when we were going to be traveling, my husband called the company.

They told him at that time that leaving it out for the amount of time of our trip would NOT harm it. I just can't recall whether this was a one or two week trip.

You may want to check with them since it is a very high quality probiotic.

Question: How much are folks paying for the probiotics listed above?

I like the Bio-K refrigerated cups (2 oz.) I get at Whole Foods for $4.95 ea. These have been very effective for common yeast symptoms, taken by tablespoons, as needed. I have used abx for dental visits for years, and Bio-K was the best overall cure for an ongoing antagonist.
