"Thoughts: Instead of antibiotics I would prefer to get hyper-immune antibody specific injections to treat Bb and other pathogens."
Thank you. I thought I was the only person in the world who thought it was better to get a human blood product for treatment than a bunch of drugs that damage our organs!!!!

Some doctors will give their patients a "vaccine" made from the patient's own blood. This was how my Grandfather was cured of a strange, undiagnosed skin condition, and I've seen/heard about it being done for other diseases as well.
Also, when I was a child, my Mom had a homeopathic practitioner make me a remedy from my hair, to treat the whole "me." I often wonder what would have happened if I had been able to continue with this practitioner...(she passed away when I was still a teen)...

Well the way I see it the 2 predominant LLMD's who use IVIG both happen to be neurologists. And neither of them know much about coinfections which kind of bias their research.
I do not think Dr K in Connecticut who is a professor at Yale has published anything.
Dr Y at NYU has published some things but I have not read the articles. Here is a link.
All the research concerning IVIG and lyme has concentrated on peripheral neuropathy and dysautonomia I think.
Hubby has actually seen both of the docs listed as well as the other neuro who moved from Connecticut to California last year.
Even though he has been sick 11 years now and has a low WBC every time it has been tested hubby's totals and subclasses still are in the normal range. So for him this treatment is not even an option.
From discussions with patients who have done IVIG I have gotten the impression that it is maybe 50% effective at best. And I think one of the major issues is the lack of understanding and/or treatment of coinfections.
This is just my opinion based on hubby's experiences.
