Has anyone been on or is currently on coumadin? I have an apt with a new LLMD but I'm trying to gather information now.
It's been three weeks since I;ve been off malarone and zith and babesia symptoms are back...night sweats, cold spells all day long are the most promiment.
But, what can be used with warfarin/coumadin to treat babesia? I read malarone is a big no-no but malarone is the best drug for me.

I have not been on coumadin, but my husband has for a DVT.
I checked out the interaction on drug-checker, and there is no interaction with Mepron, but there may be an increased blood thinning result with Malarone.
My thought is that it's just a matter of you working with your doctor who prescribed coumadin, and checking your INR to adjust for how malarone interacts with the coumadin.
Having thin blood is a GOOD thing in treating this disease. It will help with the biofilm, and help get the drugs to the intended target.
