Not sure if its lyme related or and orthoped. problem..
Started having pain behind my knee, hard to explain the pain.. Have had an ultra sound to rule out a blood clot, next a xray, waiting to hear. It isn't joint or bone pain, very little swelling if any.. Being off it and elevating helps very little..
So waiting to hear from the doc.. She said it may be an orthoped. problem.. Oh, dear.. tks

I have this too. My pain was sharp for a while. I got mine while exercising (pre lyme diagnosis). I was doing stair stepping (ugh).
I think it was just an overworked vein on me (dunno for sure though). My lyme doc wasn't sure. It seems to go away when I strengthen my quads, but comes right back if I don't. I've been dealing with it for a year and a half.

Wow, how do I explain what they are...There is an exercise I learned in either yoga or pilates class:
Get on all fours (hands and knees) making your back look like a coffee table (flat). Be sure to keep feet flat (relaxed--not on balls of feet) while doing this. Take a deep breath in and extend opposing hand and foot (diagonally) completely out (keeping foot flexed and hand stretched once in the air). HOLD FOR 10 SECONDS, then exhale once your hand and foot are way out there (looking straight ahead towards hand). Repeat other foot and hand.
You have to breathe while doing this (don't hold your breath). Do 20 of them a day or every other day if you can (really helps). Sometimes I go a week or two without doing them, though, and then it starts hurting again. This exercise takes it away for me.
