I have done this when I had thrush. Tastes nasty - but so do most of the treatments !!
It did hit the thrush harder than swallowing the probiotics.

I did it regularly when I was on ABX. Different brands taste different, they are not all nasty but none of them taste like chocolate cake!

Good info. However, I do think that there are very good probiotics that require refrigeration.
Theralac, for example.
