lyme in Putnam, it tooks me years and years but I believe I have finally found the right combination of vits and supps that take care of me.

Remember all of us are different and are fighting different bad guys. Truly the best medicine/treatment for me is the body work that I have done on me every 2 weeks.

yes, it is out of pocket. KY doesn't recognize body work/massage unless you have cancer. All I have is chronic Lyme, bartonella and babesia.

Insurance companies would laugh at me for filing a claim for this type of. I should do all the filing for the last 3 yrs just on principal alone.

I can show every payment of $65. My PCP had wrote me an rx for body work. Maybe I will just for laughs, go there.

But seriously, that type work is the key for me to maintain even somewhat of a life. No it's not a treatment that will cure me.

It's a tx that helps me go and try to do some form of life. She stirs up the bad guys, she has my body relaxed.

My body stays in a constant state of stress if I don't do this. If my schedule gets screwed up and I have to go 3 weeks in between body work.

It is shown from the moment she touches me. No I do not have anything but light massage and cranal-sacral done on me. Light is key. Deep massage would be a downward nightmare for me.

So I would highly recommend you find someone to do some body work on you. It can't just be any old massage business. It needs to be someone that is used to working with those with compromised immune systems. Someone that only works on the ill. Not the luxury massage people.

Here's my current list of supps that I think is making a difference in me:

I use Swanson(on-line) brand on most of it

Multi vit & mineral
B-complex
Magnesium (timed released, taken 2 times a day)
200mg 1 in am, 1 in pm (glycinate chelate)
Ubiquinol(CQ10)
Omega 3-6-9 1 am 1 pm 800mg of each oil
Milk thistle
Berberine-which I have found in the last 3 months to be one of the best things I've done for myself.
I've read Marnie and Keebler posts for years about it and it finally sunk in to try this product.

Berberine only 400mg daily, gave me a 3 week herx soon after I started using it. I knew it was killing off something. IMO it was candida/yeast.

But I also think it fights the bacteria too. I took it because I had been fighting a horrible UTI for almost a year. 3 different abx wouldn't touch the bacterial infection.

Berberine fought it off. Yes, it now comes back for one day or two every now and then. Minor issue, and it is during my herx cycle from bacteria?

So they raise their ugly head? Back into hiding or a good killing with rife machine while the bad guys are out having sex trying to reproduce.

I need something for hormone post menopause sx of vaginal dryness and one other issue. Yes, I need some cream of hormones from a compound pharmacy.

Next on my to do list. Maybe a little hormone cream applied to the troubled area will also change the PH of that area and make it stronger to fight the bad guys from invading some of that territory. Just my hope????

I'm not sure of one supp that calms the mind. Hopefully there is one. My combo of supps does make me more mentally physically emotionally better,

but doing life still takes a toll on me. I have to take everything slow. I can't do a normal lifestyle. I must take care of me and stop myself when my body screams STOP or I still pay a huge price.

Recently I had another embedded nymph on me. That was a huge stressor. I'm still not over the big shock of how it effected me physically or emotionally and spiritually.

It did dump something in me. So I'm in fight for survival mode.

Please consider the body work at least once a month. Maybe your state is state where insurance companies must pay for this type of treatment. KY is not one of those states.

This is good to know Pam, as I am starting lymphatic drainage message on my son in two weeks, and had hoped he could do this every two weeks.

I just concluded every two weeks would be good, and that's what you do.

What percentage of help do you think it has given you? How does it work for you, and how long does the effects of it last?

Hugs Lyme in Putnam. I know that you have been through the ringer. Up for more comments to your original post.

Thinking of you, LIP.

Would acupuncture be an option?

You are supplemented up the wazoo, I can't think of any suggestions.

Acupuncture is very calming and helped me with insomnia.

Perhaps it could help calm your anxiety?

If you think that you still have Lyme I strongly suggest enzymes to break open the cyst. Follow one hour later with whatever antibiotic or antiseptic that you are using. I use marcozymes as my doc has proven that they do the job.

Yes, Greta, lyme in Putnam needs to calm her anxiety. But what will work for her, is the big question?

The OCD thoughts and bad(negative) thoughts make us into fight or flight. Mostly we fly away from everything until a loved one sets us off and then we are ready to release all that is built up inside of us.

I did acupuncture early into treatment. But I failed it, it didn't fail me. I used to go on my lunch hour from office/work and come back to chaos. Why spend money to come back into stress he!!? I did it and had no clue, it was fighting against my trying to treat myself with something good.

When you spend money for massage, acupuncture etc. Make sure you take care of you after the tx. Lots of rest the next hours, the next day. Give the body the chance to enjoy the benefit of body work.

Drink water prior to body work and water after. The day after body work, including lymph drainage is detoxing. A huge release of toxic matter.

That can be a rough day. They have stirred up the toxins in your body, made the bad guys made and you must drink water and rest for the process to beneficial.

My urine the day after body work is always foamy and looks like something is floating around in the urine? Bowel movements are key too after having body work/acupuncture too.

Detox, detox, detox. Be ready for herx like(healing crisis) the next day or two. Fatigue is the body telling you I want to rest. So rest it.

My body work keeps my head above water if life doesn't get in my way. Or if I do something too stressful. Flight is the best mode sometimes for healing thoughts and rest.

Pam

According to Dr. B at the ILADS conference this past autumn, Coconut Oil, 1 TBS every 8 hours will nourish the brain tissue to help calm the neuro-exitability so common with lyme.

Thank you for that info Keebler. I need to share that with a dear friend of mine here that is struggling.

Big time struggling that sifted and came about and spiral out of control within the last several months.

B Complex can be very stimulating, especially if it has B3 (niacin). Be sure to never take B Complex after a certain time in the early afternoon.

Some individual B's are calming in nature, some are rocket fuel.

Pam,

Well, it's a subtle thing with coconut oil. For more profound support, a glycerine SCULLCAP tincture may be helpful to your friend at night.

A naturopathic doctor, (or at least reading a book by a good one) would be a good start.

Though not at all about lyme, this is one of the best reference resources on my bookshelf that has wonderful chapters, many graciously available through their website.

The book would make a very nice gift and excellent resource to have on hand. It also provides for interesting reading in short stints, nice to keep it out for guests to take a look at, too.

lyme in Putnam, sorry I just went to look at my bottle to answer your question...

I take Balance B-50 from Swanson. You can look at Swanson website and look this product up to get all the Bs that it has in it.

I just take one daily. I did realize it does stimulate me and I was taking it in the evening. I'm over stimulated in the evening anyway.

So I had to switch this B to morning.

Keebler, thank you again. It's been several times that I've seen this book noted here. It's time for me to take a serious look at it.

I emailed this thread to me friend. I'm so worried about her.

FOOD with B's

Also remember to take B vitamins in the middle of a good substantial meal (to avoid stomach irritation that the B3 can cause on an empty stomach), with a good breakfast or lunch.

A sublingual B-6 can help calm the body. Be sure it is certified gluten-free, though. Some are not.

Lithium Orotate! Recommeded by Dr. Marty Ross, and Bryan Rosner. It is neuroprotective and protects the brain cells. Stabilizes mood. Cumulative Effect.

Zinc Piconolate! Helps the Lyme induced Pyroluria and is also neuroprotective.

Magnesium!(not 0xide) - Helps shut down the overactive glutamate receptors/calcium channels and brings rest and peace in so doing.

Lastly, something to consider (it can be more pricey) neuroscience neurotransmitter testing done by a naturopath. Targeted Amino Acid therapy based on results.

Oh, and last but not least...HH2 for the Bartonella which can cause OCD (I know from experience)

That would be my top treatments! But probably treating the Bart and Detoxing are ultimately the most important.

PS - I see you are MTHFR - I couldn't tolerate the methylfolate but use Zeolite to bypass it to get rid of the Lyme neurotoxins
