I'm on supplements for the results of my genetic testing, as well as ivermectin and a couple other supps for co-infections.

I've off and on always had gut issues and the supps are supposed to deal w/that, but as of now, they seem worse; however, it seems no matter what I'm on, or not on, they was and wane (before treatment I mean. I've been on the supps for the genetics only a few weeks. Iver for a couple months).

I hear bland diet is good, then my regular ND says no, eat veggies and protein. Then a chick who seems to know a lot about IBS says bland + soluble fiber.

I've tried cutting out my dark choc, sometimes the GI gets better sometimes not. And cutting out other things. Same result. So I cannot pinpoint a food that is definitely causing anything.

I dont know what to eat anymore. Trying to stay on the diet my regular ND wants, meaning more veggies and protein.

Anything you guys do to help maybe slow down transit?

Also been having skin issues (itchies face and neck w/rash, which has somewhat gone away since I stopped my methly folate; an all over 'dry skin' type itch which isn't as intense as the first type I mentioned, and burning skin--a friend says it could be parasitic die off. I just dont know)

Have you seen this? If the thread is too overwhelming, just check out the first few links.

I take Cromolyn Sodium for MCAS. It helps.

Well one of my docs had me stop the methyl folate for 4 days, while at the same time starting the topical glutathione. Then after that, start back on the folate at half dose. She says I need a consult w/her to talk about it but she is not back until july 1.

I had a neurotransmitter test done before and it said my histamine was actually too low. Which can mean a person may have intestinal complaints, discomfort and sleep difficulties. All of which I have.
I am on an oral and nasal med for allergies.

I thought I might have seen die off the day after I started iver...I couldnt tell for sure if it was that or just mucus. After that I never saw it again.

My guess is that it is the Ivermectin (just a guess). Did it start when you started that med. chocolate should help the problem not hurt it. chocolate helps bowels move.

I have been taking albendazole once a week, and I am having the worst constipation ever. I literally have tried everything. I feel like something is stuck. I will probably go to a specialist and have some images done. I'm going to post on the parasite thread to see what others say.

Let me know what works.

Well my issue def is NOT constipation. The opposite.
@haley--when I had that issue once in the past, my ND said to drink a lot of water AND have NINE servings of veggies. That helped me.

I take dig enzymes and a probiotic. And I'm gluten free so most of my carbs are from vegetables, and I hate veggies. Ive lost 7 lbs in the 3+ mos I've been off grains. I feel like I cant stop losing. Not much I can eat.

I had to go gluten and casein free ( a protein in milk). If I have a slip and give in to temptation, my body feels it, as do bowel movements.

You do not have to test positive for celiac disease to have a gluten intolerance.

Also, gluten can cause skin issues.

Here is some info about Lyme and gluten, along with Lyme and gluten and casein.

I'm already gluten free. Thought I've never really had a problem w/it. My ND just thought it was healthier. I don't have dairy either. Tho neither of those seem to matter as far as my GI goes. I've been off both for about 5 months or so.

And I've been tested and don't have celiac. But still dont' have dairy or gluten.

A lot of my chronic diarrhea stopped (and pain) after chlorella. I had it since childhood, on and off.

I think heavy metals and toxins are a huge issue for the gut and liver.

The whole internal wall of my stomach gets very painful if I don't take chlorella at least about once a month or so.

Every new gatro enterologist come with a new diagnosis, in my case. I stopped going to them long ago, when they offered zero solutions to my constant pain and diarrhea.

During lyme, I wouldn't survive without chlorella (it really binds to herx toxins).

Since I started on chlorella, I never really stopped it. Even after lyme was gone.

Chlorella was (and is) the herb I owe a lot. Without it, my gut would be even messier. And pain, no doubt, as I had pain for many many years before I used chlorella.

I just read the list of foods that are high in histamine, and these are almost exactly everything my husband reacts to, with eczema. I'm baffled.

Chlorella is a prebiotic, it binds to almost all heavy metals known, it is very rich in aminoacids. So it is like very good food, but better.

I also reacted badly to some probiotics, but with chlorella, it's always a love relation!

I guess grains are not really good for gut problems. I have no difficulty in eliminating gluten, but to take off my rice for good will be hard.

I'll try it sometime soon. For the moment, only eating gluten free, it is already amazing for me.

the other problem with the histamin low diet, is that I have to give away coffee and black or green tea....

I'll ask my doc about it. She never mentioned it.
My histamine is actually low, according to my neurotransmitter test.

I have really bad gut issues right now. I'm at a loss. I don't eat gluten or dairy. I ape months not being able to go #2, now I gotta go all the time. It's really discouraging that's for sure.

I talked w/her and she thinks it may be due to die off. She said to up my probiotics, as it may be causing the die off...if upping it makes it worse, then she thinks thats why.

I use L-Glutamine to heal my gut. It really helps quite a lot for myself.

Meat is constipating. Maybe you need some grains?

It sounds like albenza may have killed off a bunch of parasites for you. I had nests of them. It took a long time for me to start expelling them.

You really need something to push the toxins out from their die off or your body will just re absorb the toxins. You might try psyllium.

I eat GF grains, greens (different lettuces) and beans and I go 2 sometimes 3x a day (no meat). The grains actually act as a binder.

What about coffee enemas? Just the thought of doing them grossed me out. I fought for so long to not do them. They turned out to be one of the best things I've done for lyme/parasite/detox treatment.

Not only will you be cleaned out in 15 minutes, they actually pull toxins out of the head (vagus nerve). Water or fleet enemas don't do this. I feel amazing after I do one (effects on the brain).
