I am guessing another antibiotic besides rocephlin? I have a visit with LD today and will bring it up. All I know is it stinks. Yesterday I was better and this morning woke up with pressure behind my eyes and the whole thing starting over--nausea as well-took 2 diamox and my potadium, used ice again and am having some camamile tea trying to relax, doesn't help that I have a muscle spasm in my back thta won't let up--all weekend tried ice, heat, muscle relaxers etc.

My daughter is coming with me today to be tested as well. God I don't wish this on her!!! Hope she is negative, but she has a lot of same symtoms as me-dx'd with fibro at age 12 and arthritis, headaches, swollen joints etc. She also gets sick a lot, catches anything that comes along.

I will definately talk to them about co-infections today. I am finding that the headache is more diabilitating than anything else I have been up against so far. I can handle the fatigue and pain--but this just shuts me down completely. I am not looking forward to the drive to the doc's and two hours of appointment time between the two of us, if not longer-my first appointmetn with them was almost 2 hours.

Thanks for your input on the headaches.

Cathy

HI kathy,

I know howyou feel..I"m not sure if you saw my post this morning..but Im herxing on meds for bart (levoquin), and I have the headache, chills, body aches etc...it's not fun. But in between the herx, I don't have the headaches anymore, adn this is after 2 straight years of horrendous headaches behind my eyes..i never thoguht they'd go away....

so the treatmet does work..it just takes some time and we do have some herxy setbacks..it jsut feels crapppy when we do...

good luck today at the llmd. I'll keep you in my prayers. let us know how you make out.

editing here..jsut noticed I didnt' answer your question about what meds to use. there are many for bart....some use rifampin adn doxy or minocycline together...some use levoquin with zithro or biaxin xl, I'm using septra ds with biaxin xl and plaquenil adn then pulsing hte levoquin only 10 days per month or so...

your llmd will know what to do for you..but rocephin is used for the lyme..but it may be bringing out a coinfection and that could be what's making your headaches worse....

hang in there

Lisa
