I got the following e-mail from a NY DOCTOR today.

"I know every one of you take supplements and you should know that they are
in jeopardy.
The Dursbin bill S-722 which will open the door to classifying supplements
as drugs is being SNUCK into a Defense Budget bill TODAY.
Since there is such opposition to S-722, it is being SNUCK into a bill that
is sure to pass.
We could wake up tomorrow having lost our the right to have vitamins and
minerals etc. classified as dietary supplements. This is the first step
toward them being called drugs, being available only on doctors
prescription, controlled by drug companies, and made synthetically.

Go to www.healthactioncenter.com and click on a letter to your senator.

Also make a call, that will make much more impact and only takes a minute.
Simply call the Senate Switchboard at 202-224-3121. Tell them your state
and they will connect you to your Senator. Tell your Senator to oppose
Senate Amendment 3225 in the Defense Authorization Bill.

Its Show Time."

I did it, but deleted the check in the box which would put me on their e-mail list. I get enough already!

The pharmacy industry wants to control our country. STOP THEM.

They could conceivably stop us from getting even vitamin C over the counter (without a prescription)...if this e-mail is true and accurate. I don't follow politics that closely...to know what bills are being presented when...

I sent a letter. It's really easy from that site. They even figure out which people to send your letter to based on which state you put in on your info! I certainly hope this bill isn't passed.
