Hi,

Any new updates on Samento and Cat's Claw. I am going to try this soon and would like to hear from people, who have been using it long term, without abx.

Thanks
Lymiecanuck

My update -

Have now been on the Cats Claw tea, 1 cup 3 times daily for 6 weeks. Somedays I have felt very good and "normal" except for my usual sweating attacks.

I have also had some horrible herxes on the Cats Claw plus 300 mg Doxy every other day. The aching has been unbelievable, also sore throat and nil energy. However the last one lasted around 4 days and suddenly lifted and I was able to walk the dog in the evening for almost 30 minutes which I found amazing. The following day was a lot better and yesterday I actually felt really well all day and evening.

Today I am into my 5th week on the Doxy, 6 on Cats Claw and I think from my experiences they are a good combination.

Previously I had taken Samento for 6 months and had great benefits but when I stopped it within 3 weeks all the symptoms were back and I felt as ill as ever so this is where I have had to start from with this current regime and therefore I feel that what is happening to me now makes me quite a good judge if something is working.

I have been reading about Quercetin helping the herxes so have bought some and if I start feeling really bad again then I will give it a go and see if it helps. I had done all the usual things to help the herx including some pain killers and antihistamine but didn't notice any real benefits.

Not looking forward to the next herx if it was as bad as the last one but am very happy with the combination of Cats Claw tea and Doxy.

Lil

I plan on going back on Samento next month. I did it for a year without abx. and felt fine. I had sinus surgery last Feb. and suffered a relapse. After 6 months on abx., I'm ready to do the Samento again.

Lil-
I am to the point that the sweats are my biggest problem. I decided to do a few rounds of artemisinin. I'm already seeing improvement after one round. I take the one by Allergy Research Group. Starting 3 days before a full moon, I do 4-1 hour before breakfast and 4-1 hour before supper, ending three days after the full moon.

The full moon timing is because that's when parasites (including babesia) hatch and are the most easily killed.

Good Luck and Take Care...Terri
