What happens if you take a few months off ABX to try and clear up yeast? Do you lose the ground you have made?
Im on my third bottle of mepron and im trying to decide if i want to press on.
My new LLMD said that 2 bottles should have cleared my babs up, but from reading this board, i know its more like 4-6.
Is it possible to clear up your system in a couple of months from ABX abuse? And then, start up again in a few months? Or is it always like this and i just need to accept this.
I know im being a pest, but i just have so many questions and i just dont know what to do.
My LLMD told me after long term abx, it can take about a year of taking probiotics to rebuild your intestinal flora to the proper level...I was also told by another doc, that often times, yeast becomes a worse problem AFTER stopping the abx, more so than while you are actually still on them...so not sure just taking an abx break will "fix" things unless you are having an outright problem that can't be controlled well...
All through my abx treatment, I concurrently was on antifungals and followed an anticandida type diet...just always trying to maintain some sort of balance, I guess...

I just saw a naturopathic doctor yesterday. He is putting me on a product by Xymogen called IgG 2000 DF. It is a immunoglobulin concentrate high potency IgG. There are also other immunoglobulins (IgA, IgM, IgE, IgD). I guess its supposed to help my intestinal track. It sure tasted bad.
Kira:
Do you think you have to be on the special diet for a year after quitting the ABX too? No problem, taking the probiotics.
I wish i had known all about this stuff before i started my treatment. Maybe i wouldnt be in the position i am now.
