I had to go get an MRI done on the 31st. I just got the results back and I'm not sure if it's good or bad or what to do next.
The Impression was: Essentially normal MRI scan of the brain without and with gadolinium enhancement. There is a question of a small arachnoid cyst vs. a prominent cisterna magna.
Findings: There is a rounded water density present b/w the cerebellar hemispheres. This is slightly asymmetric being slightly larger on left than right. This may simply represent a prominent cisterna magna. The presence of a small arachnoid cyst cannot entirely be excluded. No mass effect is seen relaterd to this and it is unlikely that this is of any pathologic significance.
If anyone knows anything about this or has experienced or read about it-please let me know what I can/should!!

I am about to have an MRI, but it is to look for an anorism (?? my spelling is awful).
I have had one done on my back before.
I told someone afterwork an "open" MRI is relative! HA!
It sounds like one hemisphere is larger than the other but not seen as a problem. Perhaps you were born with one side larger because your cisterna magna is larger than normal. I suppose it happens. It doesnt sound like they are too concerned.
