I just started on Neurontin for chronic head pressure and neck pain, started on 150 mg for a few days and upped it to 300 mg for one day now. Even with the lowest dose, I am having low back pain, could be kidney pain, but no other symptoms other than the hangover you get from Neurontin initially. I did notice as of today that I don't need my Ultracet for the other body pains, so something is working, but at what cost? Any experiences?

I have had sever hip pain and leg numbness for a month i took pain pills predisone everything nothing helped me at all.

Doc put me on neruiton two days ago and after the first day my pain left in my hip completely so its been good for me i have had no back pain im on about four pills a day two in am two at night that seems to keep me comfortable all day and night.
It has been a life saver for me.

The leaflet mentions back pain and to call the doc if this becomes bad. So far i havent had this.

I was given samples of Neurontin and didn't get the side effect info. that you seem to have in a leaflet. What else does it say about back pain, if you still have the info. Thanks so much.

I am so glad that it's working for you, you must be so relieved. If I could just get rid of this low back pain and hangover that the Neurontin is giving me, I think it might be good too.

I understood Neurontin takes a few weeks to really kick in. Maybe the lack of pain is a coincidence?

I'm phasing myself off Neurontin actually. I was slowly increasing the dose, and suddenly I was exhausted constantly. It's a hangoverish feeling when I wake up - exhausted and unable to focus or think clearly. All day I'm kind of dazed out. I've been drinking more cafeine than ever in my life, just to get through work.

We all react differently. For me, Neurontin's off the list now.

I just checked in and hubbys laying here asleep so i cant turn my light on to get the literature but tommarrow after church i will come and type the info for you okay.
It basically only said it causes back pain as a side effect and if it bothers you call the physician there are other side effects to and i will put them on here for you tommarrow okay.

Now things i notice with it is yes fatigue no stamina have to move slow like if i got to the store and if i push i break out in a cold sweat. Today because of walking i took an extra one in the afternoon i think was to much my family didnt want me to get it out of my system and begin hurting but i think it was to much. I got the dizzyness and layed down took a nap and felt better.

I notice i seem to get restless legs each night. Also last night my leg kick after i dozed which if i remember it mentioned that but i have had that before with out meds so not sure its from that.

The pain its kept me from having is worth so far the side effects. NOW like the other poster if i had to work or do anything that forced me to push i could not do it. Fortunatly i have family who support me i dont have to do anything period. They wont let me with the pain i have had from neruopathy.

I think you have to see what works for you. i think meds effect everyone so different. I got in here and read up what people said and i was nervous about taking the meds. I decided i wont do that again cause it spooks me and then im nervous about taking them. So i will take them then if i have odd effects ill read in here LOL.

Im a whimp these days about pain or sickness been having it to much lately dont want to go looking for more with these meds.

Suppose to take ramphin and im dreading it cause people have got sick to there stomach on it.

Giving myself some pain free days before i take it on.

Thanks Graneet, I really appreciate the info. I am glad that the drug is working for you. I am hanging in with the side effects for now, it's been less than a week and I am hoping they go away. At this point, I can't tell if the head pressure is a side effect or if it's the original problem that the Neurontin was treating. I hate this illness.

Thanks for the info. Graneet, I appreciate it. It's only been a week, so I am hanging in with the side effects, although I can't tell now if the head pressure is from the Neurontin or is the original problem being treated with it. I hate this illness.

I Have had some head preasure and head ache but im also on predisone temp for the inflamtion and it gives me a mild headache.

I am trying not to take as much i cant stand the groggy feeling constantly and then if ya take to much you get dizzyness which i cant take either. But it has helped the pain so its a winner.

Wish my leg would wake up cause tho i dont have pain when i stand on it, it trys to wake up and is like mush.
Walked to much this week and agitated it.

Hope your symptoms subside. I do think tho you sometimes have to lay down with this med. Its like pushing with pain meds it make sit harder on you. This is from my own symptoms ive had you might be different.
