Kiewra D, Dobracki W, Lonc E, Dobracka B.

Zaklad Parazytologii, Instytutu Genetyki i Mikrobiologii, Uniwersytetu Wroclawskiego.

Tincup,

I read somewhere, but don't know where, that the Lyme rash was an immune response and that the reason people like my husband never develop a rash is that their immune system was not activated at the time of the tickbite -- he never knew he was bitten.

Have you ever read or heard about this theory ?????

My husband had a CD-57 test done, but it was several months after Dr. B. in NY put him on Reishi mushroom supplements which did seem to balance his normal immune response per CBC's. Unfortunately, the CD-57 lab test was not available to get a baseline result prior to the Reishi.

My husband had previously taken the Lyme specific transfer factor which elevated the Monocytes into the high range and caused "shaking episodes" within 1/2 hour of taking the supplements. He does not have the negative reactions with the Reishi.
