I am on ketek every other day with clinda iv and starting mepron for the second go around this week.

since on the ketek I am very shaky--hands have tremors especially when I wake up.

I am on my 7th month of treatment and not much better--sometimes when they change my antibitics I even herx worse than the beginning of treatment. Just did a month on rocephlin/clinda and fell off a cliff recovery wise.

I have had lyme (we estimate for about 14 yrs undiagnosed until feb of this year)--

I would appreciate any input on ketek and how it has affected any of you.

thanks Cathy

I have found it to be the best thing since sliced bread, provided I take it with a cephalosporin (sp?). I take omnicef, others take ceftin, either one's probably fine.

Also, several people on Lymenet strongly recommended taking artemisinin with mepron, since malaria has become widely resistant to abx. So far, the combination has been near-miraculous, although the bug is still putting up a fight.
