This is part of what was posted on our church prayer request line about a friends daughter who is 6.

...Seems Elizabeth developed a "rash" eight days after she had been diagnosed w/ strep and then placed on an antibiotic. The doctors gave her benadryl/epinephrine and thought all would be ok. Not so, Elizabeth then developed more swelling around her ankles and then soreness in all of her joints, A trip to CHKD, blood work (sticking her 5 times before they could draw) Karen said Elizabeth was a trooper and finally got the blood drawn and tested. Nothing has shown up, nor on EKGs.

They live fin our neighborhood...Elizabeth plays soccer in the field behind our house (I was bitten in the backyard)

Any thoughts would be welcome....I will pass them on to Elizabeth's mother

Thank you

Linda

that would help....she described it as being all over...all different sized welts that could be "moved"...on the surface...they were itchy....itchiness goes away with Alleve and then comes back ....you can write Karten directly at [email protected]

The rash doesn't sound like typical for Lyme to me, but that doesn't mean she can't have it of course...

Explain to her parents where you were bitten then give them a copy of Dr B's guidelines.
Then give them the name of a LLMD in your area a good LLMD.
Streps been showing up around lyme lately.
Lyme weakens the immune system and since the abx's were introduced the rash appeared after abx's its quite possible the little girl is infected with lyme.
