I spoke with my LLMD about treating Bart, even though I am not positive I have all the sx: Mostly cognitive, disorientation, vertigo, vision disturbances, fatigue, headaches, pain in arch of foot at times, anxiety attacks, heart palps, hot flashes.

We talked about Levaquin as Dr. B prescribes, and my LLMD agrees it may be very effective but does not like the tendon problems, and he as seen quite a few.

He mentioned Ketek and I have never heard of this for Bart. I wa thinking Septra and Biaxin or Rifampin and my other meds (Mino, Zith).

Anyone heard of Ketek alone for Bart?

Any success with this. Liver problems?

I've been on Ketek several times over the past few years, probably a total of 12 months combined.

It seemed to help tremendously with my babs symptoms along with Mepron. Never had any liver problems, thankfully.

It's interesting that your LLMD is using it for bartonella. I am currently on Biaxin and Bactrim for bartonella.

Will you be taking it in combination with anything else?

I was treated with ketek and flagyl for bartonella and Lyme.

This combinaton was more effective than cipro or lavaquin alone.

Walnut - are you bartonella free? I've tried numerous combo's for Bart and can't kick it but I've never tried flagyl and Ketek together though I have tried Ketek alone.

I heard Bactrim and Biaxin are great for Bart. Or Zith, Bactrim.

Anyone else heard this?

After 5 1/2 months of ketek + flagyl I am hoping that I am cured of bart.

I don't have any specific bart symptoms anymore, and my two last blood tests have come back negatitve (before treatment my bart test was highly positive).
