(Sorry to have posted this in medical but I'm not sure I'll get a response elsewhere.)

I've just figured out what my codes are and they are not what I expected.

I need to find proper wording for the codes I have, my claim predated a Lyme diagnosis code.
(disinissues won't alow me to post a queston for a few days.) *sigh*

(I'm also wondering what the codes are for lyme, I know I've seen it here but am unable to search for them.)

Thanks, if you can be any help or even if you can't.

Trueblue,

You know I'd have an answer for you since I've been in this SSDI for 5 years now; didn't you?

LISTING NO. 14.09 "rheumatoid arthritis & OTHER inflammatory polyarthopathies and is 7140 IMPAIRMENT CODE.
=====================

Also, go to:
http://policy/ssa.gov/poms.nsf/lnx/0427015065?OpenDocument

If I mistyped this from scratch, go to:
www.ssa.gov and go to disability area. Do a search on BLUE BOOK for adult impairment list.

Print off the 1 - 14 sections. Compare your medical chart text w/the terminology there.

Later go to the actual POMS that give very DETAILED info for each of the 14 sections above. ok.

Betty,
I didn't mean to offend you in anyway, I'm sorry if I did. I would have emailed you if I had your address. You've been terribly helpful and I thank you for that.

I knew you had codes for what you're going through but didn't know if you'd have any insight into mine.

This is the first I've seen these. My original determination and reviews have never told me what the diagnosis codes were.

TB, by no way did you insult me, etc...ok.

Glad to see you posted some impairment nos. Tonight I'm going to do some research for another lady who is living out of her car since she is allergic to what they laid down in her NEW home!

While I've got the code numbers out, I'll see if I see if I find anything about YOUR numbers ok....tomorrow.

No need, Betty. What I posted above was what I found whilst looking last night. That's it but it puts me in a strange place when trying to state what I'm seeing doctors for on the form.

I'm sorry about the woman in her car. I completely understand though. I've had this happen time after time.

I can't have new stuff. I just got back from returning a chair I got for the computer. It was very comfortable and on sale.

Unfortunately, the smell was killing me. I had to keep it in another room. I tried it again last night and a screw stripped so I had the opportunity to return it.

I couldn't live with it in the house, anyhow. Ha! Saved by shoddy craftsmanship!

TB, I'd use also the LYME dx code I gave above too.

Good luck on your paperwork.

Betty,
That's just the problem.
I don't have a choice of what codes to use.

These are the ones that came printed and pre-coded on my form.

I have to make SURE what I fill in for treatment matches these codes. It would be true either way only it needs to be worded carefully.

If not the form will be kicked out for a full review.

I was never privy to the codes they assigned when approving me and had no idea what they were. This is the first piece of paperwork in 10 years where coding appears.
