I'll take a piece of candy in the morning and feel 50% better, what's up with that?
Is it just a sugar thing? Am I doing more harm that good?

Probably a "sugar high", temporary as it is....doesn't last, right?

Will it do more harm than good? absolutely

There are other diseases that can be transmitted by a tickbite.

I did a comprehensive panel and wb and showed BB but not any of the typical co-infections....however I did show herpes, ebv, cmv which may or may not be crossreferenced diseases like bb is with h-pylori...did the abx for h-pylori and not symptomatic but it still shows positive for it active at times......

Some folks don't put a lot of credance in the co-infection tests...rely more on clinical dx.
Sweets for me are a big no no.....if it makes you feel better maybe you don't have lyme.....have a glucose tolerance test done.

Some of the lyme patients get diabetes as a side consequence/or symptoms that mimic it.

Hope this helps somewhat............zman

When you wake up in the morning, you normally have low blood sugar...hence the name,"break-fast".

A sugar food would certainly give you a 'boost' but complex carbs would seem a better nutritional choice.

Those with sugar problems might do better on a protein regimen where your blood sugar would be more evenly regulated.

As long as you don't have the extreme highs and lows from a sugary meal, then I guess you do well on it.

Hope this helps.

If you're new to Lyme, then I guess you're new to yeast? Look out!

Most ducks think that yeast is cleared by taking one diflucan pill! or better yet, they don't believe in it at all!

Then we have some LLMD's who don't get it. Go figure! It's virtually impossible to take abx long term and not have a yeast problem.

Avoidance of simple carbs and sugar is the best way to go. "ounce of prevention" ya know!?
