hi - I haven't posted in while. I haven't been around or near myself. I was in the hospital last week to take out my gall bladder. (rocephin) that took out all my sodium and and put me back inthe hospital again this week for three days with siadh (hormone that steals sodium from everything). Took me off lexapro, for me they think ssri's do it. Got out of hospital on Wednesday. Minute by minute mental torture, except , God gave the peace for a few hours that we all so deserve. today is no where where I was last night, i try to see what was different, and can't figure it out. Off all antibiotics. doc wants to start me on oral mino. did 6 mos of iv rocephin and 8 iv zithro. My family and me and mind are at stake . Just made an appt with a naturopath the end of the month. Went to hospital on Mon to be committed and my sodium kept me there. on salt tabs to increase it. still mentally get the same. Psych doesn't know what meds to do for sodium. stuck and scared. Have the best son, husband, family, in a bubble of unreality. Spoke with people last night, had me personality back. Today, dead. God, make the suffering of all inflicted go and subside till we find the strength from docs or inner to take over. thanks for the ear.
No one would know. Its not schicz, doc says severe ocd/borderline personality disorder. {sych says that personalitiy disorder would't happen so quick cause was of for month and a half. I never had this and I'm 42, this starts now?
just getting my igenex kit. I can't do mind drugs because I end up hospitalized, but I have no life this way. 4 docs are trying and can't figure what to do. I know alot of you are in the same boat, but if the mental stuff would subside and stay that way, I can have a little hope. It happens and then it switches back to this state. sorry lymster, you heard me so good, thats the real me, not this crap.

Cigi -- just dropping in to send you a big hug. This is awful for you and your family. I have a couple of Lymie friends who landed in psych wards with LD; they did get their brains back eventually but the whole thing was a dreadful experience. They also had that feeling of fading in and out of lucidity.

I hope the Igenex results shed some light for you. I think the naturopath appt. is a good idea -- those folks often catch stuff that slips by mainstream docs.

Keeping you in my thoughts.

Cigi,
I'm sorry to hear that things are not well for you. Trueblue and I chatted with you Sunday night, and I was hoping that you wouldn't have to be hospitalized.

It's been a long time since I worked in the hospital, and I couldn't remember much about low sodium, so I looked it up in the Merck Manual.
http://www.merck.com/pubs/mmanual_ha/sec3/ch18/ch18d.html

I am aware that electrolyte balance can affect a person's behavior profoundly. We had one guy that stormed down the hall swinging his IV bottle, sans hospital gown. He didn't remember the incident when he got better.

Take care, and I'm praying for you.
Carol

PTSD/"personality" bullcr** can be due to infection and brain problems. Also like the others said due to any number of imbalances.

look at the article from the veteran's admin. about vietnam vets PTSD really being lingering malarial infection.
Please show this to your doctors/psychiatrists.
If you have neurolyme and co-infections it could be causing your trouble.
These bugs make depression treatment resistant. The anti-depresants don't work as well anymore.

Be sure your doctors understand that infection can cause this as well.
hugs and healing to you. this is scary...you are in my prayers!
