I'm feeling like a sinking ship [Frown]

saw neuro llmd, had 13 tubes of blood drawn and now need MRI and MRA's
I go back there in 3 weeks.

He says I have babs and need to be treated for all coinfections.

I'm completely overwlemed and exhausted. I spent the whole weekend in bed, and I'm feeling afraid of trying anything right now. I'm crying at the drop of a hat and mentally confused.

I guess we'll know something new in 3 more weeks.

hang in there. You are making progress.
This too, shall pass.
I hate the crying jags, but they do pass.
At least you got in to a Dr. Be grateful, if you can muster it. [lick]
Cheers,

Sorry to hear of your misery, achey! But you know what? If you have not been treated for babs, this could be the turning point in your "Lyme" treatment.

Many here have spent years wondering why they're not well, only to find out it was babs keeping them from getting well.

So LOOK UP! Things are about to change for the better! [Smile]

Achey, Lymetoo knows what she's talking about. Said the same to me. I've been on clindamycin/quinine for only 5 days and at half dose to boot and what a difference! Many thanks Lt!

Thanks for your replies.....

I've been in such a funk that I didn't even think abt the idea of being treated for babs making me feel better.

Today I get to figure out new rx protocal with original LLMD, cuz neuro wants first doc to be in charge. I'm still feeling overwelmed!

I'll be glad when changes are in place, not looking forward to any new herxing, but since I've been going downhill since June, maybe herxing will be easier by comparison.

Thanks for reminding me of the thinks to be thanksful for, including all the support here!

Achey, that is great, great news. If your doctor has given you the official go-ahead, you can probably get the best possible antibiotics from your insurance right away and smash the smithereens out of the co-infections, instead of taking some useless pinecone tea or something. You're going to get better now!

While it's too soon to say I'm cured of the co-infections, it took ten months to be symptom-free of babesia, and seven weeks to be symptom-free of bartonella. The Lyme is still lurking, but it hasn't gotten very far. Wait until you see the difference... my first impulse is to suggest you watch Baywatch reruns, because that will be you soon.

Here's the regimen that seemed to work:

Babesia--
Mepron 10ml/2x day
Ketek 400mg/2x day
Artemisinin 100mg/3x day

Bartonella--
Ramp up with 150mg/2x day rifampin, then
Rifampin 300mg/2x day
Ketek 400mg/2x day

And of course, sorry to beat the same old drum, but tons and tons of liver support.

Awwwww, achey. So sorry about you feeling so rotten. Depression and crying are the pits. I know . . . feels pretty much like things are hopeless, huh?

Just wanted to give you some encouragement. I started treating babs and within 7 days I couldn't believe how good I was feeling. Had to stop treating babs due to the PICC line, but will hit it again when I'm done and I can't wait!

Sending some healing thoughts and encouragement your way!

Hi Achey,

Hope that babs is the "missing link" for you.

It is much more prevelant than first thought. It was one of the co infections that hubby tested + for. He treated it for 6 months seemed to be better, but it seems to be rearing its ugly head again.

Can you send me a private message about who the neuro LLMD is that you saw. I am wondering if hubby needs to see the neuro in addition to the good Dr. R. since 2 years of aggressive treatment and he is still totally unable to function on any level.

Thank you in advance
Wizard [bonk]

well feeling a bit better today! I had a great PT appt with zero balancing and chakra work, and all kinds of funky stuff, that helped to pull me out of my funk!

I gonna do it again next week, too!
I think it's important to remember that our immune systems are regulated by so many things besides out physiology. I felt my immune system plummeting and I was going down with the ship... It was scarey!

Today's PT session helped so much, but I stil have pathogens to fight, so I'm going to continue to get the support that helps me to feel like a fighter, not a victum! [Smile]

Spelling will come later [Razz]

Be happy you got a confirmed diagnosis for Babs. That is actually great news. Now, go after it.
