Okay,

Today really frieked me out. My LD just recently switched me again from Ceftin to Doxy and when I went to the bathroom and wiped I saw pink-(traces of blood) I didn't know what to do and became worried. My husband told me not to worry and that it could just be the change in the medicine and the Lyme kicking up. Has this happened to anyone else? [Eek!]

I would monitor this and make an appt on monday to see your Dr so he can run a uranalysis. Ive had all kinds of strange things going on with my urine since treatment.

Drink plenty of water. and hang in there. Ive been super freaked out too.

I had that with a bladder infection. I was on Ceftin at the time. Check with your doctor on Monday.

I had that years and years ago, when I had chronic UTIs that wouldn't respond to treatment. It *IS* scary! Docs told me not to worry about it at the time... like that means anything.

Definitely follow up with your LLMD!

Hope you get an answer to this, and that it goes away soon!!!

Last year, the duck urologist was certain I had bladder cancer, because of blood in my urine.

It scared the bejeezus out of me!

Anyway, he ran test after test after test.

Nothing.

Like everything else, it turned out to just be one more Lyme-related thing.

After being on abx for awhile, that no longer happened.

I hope you get some relief soon and that your LLMD is able to give you some direction.

Andie

Hey Nuke,

Blood in urine can also be from Babs. Be sure to talk to your doc.

My best,
Melanie

Melanie,

I just had another round of blood tests for co-infections and I am awaiting the results. Well, it really wasn't in my urine....it was in my cervical region. I am calling my LD and GYN on monday. I'm sure it is Lyme related since he just switched my medication but I am not taking any chances. I do have a little pelvic pain with it. Could be bladder. It is kind of burny
