I started to see a reflexologist last week. I have had 2 appointments. She works feet and points, her assistant is working free areas where lyme is stagnant.

Last week, the day after, I noticed cramping in my left calf which went on for a few days but I didn't think too much about it. After all, with all these supplements and meds could anything really be deficeint?

Yesterday before I ever got off the table, I got a really bad cramp in my foot and today have cramps in my lower calfs, mostly left leg.

Any thoughts, what and why? The reflexology seems to be helping. This 2nd time has sent me into a hefty herx which I haven't experienced in awhile.

Thanks
elle

Hi,

I also see a reflexologist and had a major herx after my first treatment. I did not have any issues with foot or calf cramping. I too think it is helping.
I really try to get in the tub with my epsom salts after to help dump the toxins.
Good luck with your treatments.

Take care and peace.

My SO is a massage therapist and reflexologist, so I get regular treatments.

One of my big herx symptoms right after I started taking abx was paralysis and numbness. The first time, it landed me in the ER, it was so severe.

Anyway, what we found was that reflexology worked to curb the paralysis and minimize some of the neurological herx symptoms (especially on brain points near toes).

I also use the detox foot pads, which I think are effective, and I get regular acupuncture treatments. The acupuncturist is able to focus energies on whatever symptoms are surfacing at the time.

I just sent her an email about my inability to get warm, no matter what, my headaches and my dry, tight cough. She said it sounds like malaria symptoms. ..

so I immediately figure it's Babesia...

Send me a pm if you'd like more info about any of this!

Andie

Thanks - I took a bath in epson last night and that helped.

I don't have the cramps this morning. I can also raise my arm straight above my head which I haven't been able to do without extreme pain since I first lost the feeling in it. I'm excited

I also ordered Peter Gillham Natural Calm Mag. I'm taking 1000mg a day of mg but maybe more of a different type will increase absorption.

Andie - I'm hypothyroid and I always thought my inability to get warm was due to my thyroid. I take a T3 & a T4 thyroid meds and keep my levels very regulated.

It wasn't until the 2nd bottle of Mepron for babs treatment that I was comfortably warm. My body temp is now 98.3. First time in over 25 years. I'm now towards the end of my 3rd bottle of Mepron.

Thanks for our help

Elle,
I'm confused about what people generally take for babesia. The chills are really debilitating. It seems to me that my insides shiver.

I've also started taking epson salts baths; I tend to herx afterwards. I'm warm in the tub but almost as soon as I get out, I'm freezing again.

I'm taking this tea -- supposedly a warming tea -- of Chinese herbs. Who knows where I'd be without that...

And we're going into winter...Yikes! [Frown]

HI Andie, nice to hear the Chinese tea is helping you too.
It also helped me a lot, but didn't 'cure' me from the cold, I think ...

What also helped A LOT was the use of homeopathy, a substance called DULCAMARA. If you're severely with infection, I think you should take stronger doses, start with 4C / 4CH, 3 globules before going to bed, preferably without having eaten for about 30 minutes and no teeth brushing before (after 10-15 minutes you take the globules you may brush your teeht). Put the globules under your tongue and leave them melt as slow as possible. It worked wonderfully for me, very fast too. As I was not too infected, it seemed, the 6CH worked better. I'm starting not to take them anymore now as my body temperature stabilized.

Good luck!
Selma

I forgot to ask you guys that do reflexology. Is it Chinese reflexology or western reflexology? There are many feet points that are very different... I feel the Chinese reflexology is more precise, just my own experience (I started doing it myself for almost 20 years!).

I didn't know it could help lyme, I was afraid of doing it in my arthritic joints as it could send the bugs to the blood circulation, I thought!

What reflex points do you all work on?
I usually do only on my pancreas, liver and kidney, and that's all.

Would you have suggestions?

Do you all take a lot of water after/while doing reflex?

Selma
