I was DX 6 years ago w/CFIDS, and recently w/Lyme. Now, my husband just got DX w/CFIDS/FM. Next is a lyme test for him, too.
He was injured 2 yrs. ago in a car accident, and between the pain he's in, sleep deprivation, caretaking me, and tons of stress, he's spiraled downward, more rapidly in the last few months.
So, how many others here have a spouse or partner w/Lyme, too?? Is it much more common than we think?
We also have 2 young adult children. Should they be tested for lyme as well? I have no idea when I actually got the lyme, nor from where.
I also had a bout with chronic fatigue back in 1994. I left my job and it took me a year to get back to work. Sounds suspiciously like that could have been lyme, but not sure. My kids were in middle and high school then.
Thanks for the help. Take care. Hopeful4

I am sorry to hear about your husband. But strongly suspect lyme in him as well.
I gave it to my 4 kids and husband. My mother gave it to me (Fibromyalgia DX) and she gave it to her husband (MS DX).
Some may disagree but I would say get the kids tested as well. Try to stop it before they pass it on to a future spouse or your future grandchildren.

It looks like we all have lyme/co in my family........my three sons, (in their 20's) hubby and me.
We have lived in endemic areas our entire married life......central PA, Philly suburbs and northern VA.
Three of us are being treated and the other two just did testing last week.
The irony is my oldest son's girlfriend (from Poughkeepsi) was treated for lyme in elementary school so he had a serious conversation about lyme and pregnancy with our llmd.
