Yes My husband got alot worse while on meds. and ended up with a walker also. It was scary because he was only 35.
He is now 100% better. (Took 3 years)
Hope this helps.
Watch for depression if you do not have it all ready. If you do experience depression keep a close eye on it.

That sounds like me, except I am 52. What contributed to his turnaround in your opinion? Did he have any other diagnoses? Thanks.

Took at least a full year before I saw any improvement, then another year before I almost felt like a human being again. Biaxin was the first thing to bring improvement.
After 5 yrs of treatment, I'm feeling great!
Hang in there!

I am so comforted to hear of someone else going through this. I am having mine done on feb 27, When is yours? I am getting it done in Houston. Where are you getting yours done? How many? I have 6 coming out! Ouch.
There is a lot of detoxing to do. Do you have any amalgams? We found "metal" under a few caps, so I am getting that done, too, but not at the same time. We will do upper 1st than lower.

The last tick I pulled of was in approx "95, but there were others. Also I grew up in Pa on a woodsy lake, an endemic area. Also I had weird stuff as a child and my mother had weird autoimmune stuff, so who knows when. I don't remember a rash. MS dx in '03.

Husband started with orals then ended up doing IV rocephin 2 grams EVERY day for 9 months straight then 3 grams EVERY day for another 3 months. Was also treated for Bart with levaquin. I believe this was a big hope in treating lyme.
Lastly,

I've been on abx for more than 7 months. Each month, I'm a bit better than the month before, but it's a VERY slow process.
For me, there were 9 years between tick bite and diagnosis. I wasn't expecting any quick results.
Still, this taxes my patience.
When I started tx, I calculated my health at about 14% out of 100%.
I figure I'm now somewhere between 50 and 60%.
I don't know why, but the numbers like that help me put things in perspective.

I've been on antibiotics since November 2003. Didn't see improvement until around Jan 2005. I'm now 90-95% better but still on meds. It's a long process. Hang in there.
