Hello,
me again trying to figure this stuff out.

I was burning terribly last nite...tried so hard to tough it out and not take the diflucan.

Since gyn didnt say it was yeast.

SO, why then when i take it, everytime i take it...it helps with my burning. Like a half hour later.

Does it have any antinflamatory in it? Im really perplexed as this is not the first time this has happend.

Not sure. Half hour sounds a bit fast for it to get absorbed, work through the body, and kill organisms. Diflucan is primarily for yeast. So, I would still guess yeast, though it does have some impact on other things like Borrelia. However, if it was helping on the Bb side, I do not expect the burning would resolve like that - it takes quite a long time....

Can't,

I brought this NIH, medlineplus.org up for diflucan; hopefully it might help you.

It's set up by illnesses, meds, & DICTIONARY .. user-friendly.

Hey cantgiveup

If it's yeast the diflucan will help.

It's not suposed to work fast. But two days ago, I took one for gas & nausea (MY red flag for yeast) And felt better in a couple of hours.

Yes. This could be coinsidence.

Thanks Betty, I added that site to my favorites. It has a lot of useful information

Scott- it is so very odd with this diflucan. The first 3 times it happend, i thought it was just coincidence and shrugged it off.

I take the generic, the tablet practically melts in my throat going down....often melts in my mouth...so im not sure if that affects absorption or not. it has no coating to it at all.

It probably will always remain a mystery. i have to check the interactions with the meds i was given yesterday 5 prescriptions from my urologist to see if there are any interactions.

Its getting too complex for me...all these meds...and non for lyme treatment.
