Due to a diverticulitis attack I am taking Bactrim and Flagyl in place of my minocycline and Rifampin for 10 days. My Lyme doc said at the end of the 10 days if all is going well with the flagyl to keep taking that and add back in the mino. My question: is it OK to take the Bactrim and Flagyl at the same time? I like to take my antibiotics first thing in the a.m. on an empty stomach and then shortly before I go to bed. Will they both be as effective if I take them at the same time. Same goes for when I start back on mino...can I take it at the same time as Flagyl? Thanks.

Bactruim and flagyl were both really good antibiotics for me.
Seems like such a short period of time. Ask to stay on those longer. FOR REAL!
Beware flagyl is very stong and many people herx bad.
Love and healing,
