Dr. D. (LLMD) told me it was a Lyme specific band.
It is the one band I know of where Igenex does not call it a Lyme specific band, but the LLMDs believe that it IS.
My limited understanding: for a while it was thought to be a heat shock protein (whatever that is), but it is now thought to be an outer surface protein.
Good luck with the non LL doctor! Printing out Dr. C's article might help. And also saying that the LLMDs call it Lyme specific.
