oK so I cant find another dr who can see me before 6months..
So i called that Dr that I fired but did a take back and all was fine. I was feeling quite horrible and they said she was out until this week.
They couldnt see me until today. I called tues last week. I get there I was 6mins late..They would not see me.
They said she had a tight sched and i would need to r/s. SO I told the girl that I would see her tomorrow.
I told her that I was upset because I have never ever had my Dr actually see me on time. The past few time I have waited patiently for over and hr.
So I have this appt at 12 tomorrow.. Now her and I have had our boughts about it all.
She did the IgM and IgG test-wasnt sent out. Did the test for Erlichiosis not one for the babesiosis. CBC diff said it all was normal.I didnt get a copy yet but I will.
So here it is.. I had the rash as i have said. It was said to be ring worm. I have unexplained joint pain, my TMJ has got worse in the past several weeks.
Put it this way except for like 4 or 5 things i have all the symptoms on the list Clinically dx i would say that what it is.
She mentioned doing testing for arthritis I had knee surgery in feb that came back with nothing. I dont see it being that. but am will to do any test out there.
So how should i approach tomrrow: DO i go in and say I need to you to test me for xyz, and we need to really figure this out. And they need to be sent out someplace.
Do i go in see what she has to say and if its not what I like leave that office
if i leave though i cant get into anyone until long after i get to fl in nov.
I dont know how to do this... I am so irratated and she knows what i went ' through before. I had adenomyosis and all the gynos thought i was nuts
i proved them wrong..Not only did i get my hyst at 25yrs but it was also found that I had uterin cancer.
anyway I would love some suggestions on this I am stuck..HELP
Hail

One thing I can say about having Lyme -it has helped me to be more of an advocate for myself- and have learned the hard way that Doctors are not God.
I say go with a written list of your symptoms, and a printed out list of Lyme Symptoms- and say I WANT and NEED to be tested for Lyme disease. Too bad that doesn't guarantee an accurate diagnoses, the blood work I mean.
I essentially just had to keep being persistent bout the suspicion that I had Lyme. I finally had a doc retest me-which was negative at a local lab, but then I made my way to an LLMD who did the Ignex labwork-which all came back positive.
I guess what I'm saying is- I have learned not to be intimidated by doctors-and how refreshing it is to get to a doctor who really does listen. It's the pits that we have to work so hard to get the correct treatment.
Please let us know how it goes. Also say a prayer for God to give you the strength and conviction to be true to yourself.

About the time issue- I got lost on the way to my second Lyme appointment-go figure-even though I was familiar with the area . The doctor was kind enough to see me for a partial visit, and rescheduled the following week for the rest of my appointment.
But I have those same thoughts-when going to regular ducks-we have to wait on them-but do they have to wait on us? So screwed up and so frustrating. And I thought the rule of thumb was if you were 15 minutes late you could expect to reschedule- but 6 minutes? that's a bit absurd.

You've got me on as roll here- this must be one of my buttons-the time issue- I remember walking out of a doctor's office citing I had waited too long and had to go. I got a note in the mail from the doctor-saying"sorry I missed you"!
another time I looked a doc straight in the face and said I had an appointment at 10:30 , I was here at 10:15 and signed in, it is now 11:15 and you are just calling me back. He apologized without offering any lame excuses.I respected that.
I have been to so many doctors- I now take along a waiting bag with magazines, deck of cards and a CD player!
I'll be quiet now and let others post! Carol

I agree with Carol that we have to be our own health advocates here.
I had no doubt I had Lyme (all the symptoms pointed to it), and the first test was negative. I also found my way to a LLMD (Lyme literate medical doctor) and was tested again through Igenex.
That second time was a strong positive, plus, I've responded to antibiotic treatment.
The point is that Lyme is both a lab and a clinical diagnosis.
If you aren't seeing a LLMD, I'd suggest trying to find one in your area. If this person is an LLMD, make sure your labs are being sent to Igenex. Those are my thoughts...
