I had a test done called the ELISA/ACT test to look for food sensitivities. It's expensive and not covered by many insurance.

But it really helped reduce my nausea. I would never have discovered the foods causing it, such as lemon.

I haven't had much nausea with Lyme, but I had ten years of chronic nausea with chronic fatigue syndrome decades ago.

The only thing that helped me was ginger. It's known to help with nausea, whether it's motion sickness or from chemotherapy.

Ginger in any form worked for me: ginger tea already available in tea bags from the health food store, fresh ginger cut up and made into a tea by adding hot water and honey, ginger candy, ginger syrup from the health food store.

It was truly a miracle worker for me. Now when I get the occasional nausea from Lyme or meds, it's the first thing I use.

Hi Kristin,
Sorry about the tummy stuff...I had nausea real bad and GI cramping.

Try to keep you colon clean. Lots of fiber, fluid --- you have to have BM's often to keep the pipes clean. Some do colonics but I amm a chicken. I have resorted to enemas a few times and cuts way down on nausea for me.

Eggs for some reason became a problem. Made a huge diff when I stopped eating them.

Glad you are eating...keep up your blood sugar it is so important...healthy, organic, non sugar diet...

Hang in there, this too shall pass..

Blessings
Kim

I don't suffer from the nausea but know some old fashion remedies for it.

Old fashion coca cola syrup sans soda works well.
Ginger ale soda, flat, when it loses carbonation is a simple remedy and effective for me when I have had the flu, pre lyme.

Also, peppermint works well.A cup of tea or ginger tea helps sooth the quesies.

Hope that this helps and you feel better. Up for the other links also.

Last Christmas when I was on abx and very nauseated someone on here told me about buying raw ginger and grating it, baking a sweet potato and mix them together and eat whatever you can.

The ginger did help. It also freezes well and its nice to have in there ready for use.

I had both extreme nausea and severe vertigo.... lost 30lbs. , when I had Lyme in 1999. I took mecelizne, phenegan, and candied ginger.... then sometimes I could keep down some yougurt....
Vertigo and nausea were my most difficult symptoms... I couldn't walk for months..
