Feeling frustrated and wondering what really does help the most. My son is now on Biciliin shots and we still are not seeing an improvement. He was diagnosed December of 06 and has been on orals and now the bicillin shots. I'm frustrated that he is not doing that much better and still is hurting and missing out on life and school!

Since Dec of 06 is not a very long time to have been in treatment. Has he made ANY progress? Has he gotten worse?

A couple of months ago I was also taking Bicillin, and then my llmd added Adoxa. That's when things really got much better for me.

I currently just take Adoxa, and feel better than when I was getting the shots. That's just what worked for me.

I know this is terribly frustrating, but hang in there.

I hope your son sees some better days soon.

He was treated for BAbesia and that is better. The sweats have ended. He has these never ending headaches. Just wondering why no IV yet in this process. Doctor feels IV is a quick fix and then it will come back later to get you. He feels orals is the way to go. I hope that next year, his senior year he can go to school a little.

Thanks everyone

Amy
