Hi,
Since I've finally been diagnosed, there are a few odd symptoms I have, but am not sure if they are related to LD or not. Starting in 2003, I've had difficulty swallowing sometimes. Like it feels like I can't make myself swallow.
Secondly, for the past 10 years, my right thumb will twitch, sometimes for hours. It's only my right thumb (which I've named Tabitha since it acts like a separate entity!).

My main symtpms now are fatigue, brain fog at times and sometimes panic attacks, paranoia feelings, anxiety.

Thanks for reading and for any responses!
Rachel

Could be related to LD or not, like everything*)!
I had swallowing difficulties related to LD. I would make sure you get that checked out by a doctor. The twitching- gosh, so many of us twitch from LD!!! I had a movement disorder in my left hand from LD- chorea - but I tihnk you would know the difference between that and twitching-
but many people have twitching from Lyme- do a search*)!!*)

Take care-

Thanks Sarah,
I'm glad that it could be something from LD and not something else. It's so interesting researching it right now (just dignosed 1 week ago today), so many symptoms I have or had in the past can be attributed to LD.
By the way, we moved back to Ohio from San Jose, CA last year. You are in Aptos, by Santa Cruz right? I miss Cali, I definitely felt better there...
take care,
Rachel

Hi Ocean, say hi to Tabitha for me [Smile]

Just before I was diagnosed with LD after 2.5 years infected, I had difficulty swallowing and with my tongue (couldnt seem to get the food to the back of my throat).

This went away a while after abx treatment started.

I also had many bizarre twitches that changed location from time to time.

I eventually developed what was labeled "chorea" in my entire body- exhausting.

I had difficulty swallowing for several weeks last spring/summer...really freaked me out at first and I almost choked the one time...I had/have a lot of other nerve sympt going on too. Really bothered me at night too, when I would lay there and think about it and try to swallow but couldn't...lots of fun with all the shooting pain and etc that went along with it. I still feel some of it occassionally, I hope it is the anti-bios (zith and mepron) and not just the ambien that has relieved it.
