Hi,

Does anyone know what Borrelia or Babesia's effects are on on muscles, ligaments and tendons?

Is there a difference on the effect if the muscle is injured or healthy?

Quick answer.. sorry.. not much hop in my pop tonight.

Lyme can invade tendons, ligaments and muscles. They can weaken them and cause a lot of pain. Biopsies on these tissues have shown evidence of Lyme spirochetes.

As for muscle spasms, tenderness and pain.. I find Babesiosis seems to be the culprit when I have these problems.. which can be VERY severe.

I treat with mepron and the muscle spasms (fibromylagia type pain and worse) get better. Usually much better.

Not sure that is what you are asking.. but I tried!

My fibromyalgia pain went down to zero in one week when I went on clindamycin around the clock(150mg 4x/day). Caused a herx too -- very tired. I backed off on dosage. Lasted six months and then lost effectiveness.

I tore one tendon with just the lyme I tore 2 while on levaquin.
I also blew pcl and miniscus both sides same knee. Take your suppliments this all happened to me. Suppliments will help complex B,also magnesium, and some good antioxidents.
Never take suppliments before or after abx's at least 2 hours after or before I try to make it 3 hrs..
