Hello everyone,

Recently my doc put me on meds to really hit neurolyme, but I noticed an increase in symptoms that I think are bart related.

For the past few weeks I have had an increase in headaches, sore soles, and anxiety. [Frown] The good news is that my temps broke and my neurapthy is better.
[Smile]
So my question is, is it possible to have a bart relapse on drugs such as flagyl and ceftin? Or is this a lyme herx? [confused]

Thanks everyone.

My uneducated guess here is that this is some sort of coinfection - could be bart - could be something else. The exact same thing happened to me. My improvement on Ceftin and Flagyl/Diflucan was short-lived before something much longer than a herx occurred and continues.

I would request maybe minocycline - or one of these abx that might hit a coinfection or two to see if any of your symptoms improve.

I would also recommend you have your doc test you for malaria. Mine was equivocal, and I've never been outside of the US.

Hope you feel better soon.

I have been symptom-free for over 7 months but of late during the past week or so I have been having night sweats and some pins and needles off and on in my fingers and toes.

My 14 month treatment was for lyme and bart (no signs of babs ever)......was two months symptom-free on meds and after being given a warm goodbye from my llmd, I immediately added cat's claw capsules and other Buhner/Cowden supplements/herbs.

I remember having some fevers early in treatment two years ago.

Anyway, I am thinking this is bart poking at me since I have read on the internet bart can cause fever.
