Hi all--
I've been treating for babs with mepron, zith, and art. I also take strong probiotics each morning.
1) Should you also take Diflucan or Nystatin while treating for babs? 2) If so, once you cease your abx for babs, how long do you continuing taking diflucan or nystatin?
(I know about natural support such as the right foods, garlic pills, oil of oregano)...Just wanting to know if yeast can be a problem with babs meds since I don't see it discussed much..I had a hard time with it on lyme treatments..
THANKS!!!!

zinthro is an abx so it csn cause yeast.
You should ask your dr if he wants you on any rx antifungals (like diflucan) some drs dont prescribe them unless there is a problem.

I took Nystatin the entire time I treated lyme AND babesia. YES, zith is an abx!
I took Diflucan off and on during babs/lyme treatment. I've continued to take Nystatin and diflucan most of the time over the past 3 yrs while OFF abx.
Believe me, after 4 yrs of abx, my gut is not in great shape.
