Just about the only time anyone gets a brain biopsy done is after they are dead.
The risks are just too great to justify this procedure.
And can you imagine getting insurance to approve it.
Pretty sure there is someone in the Lyme community who wants your brain when you are dead -- seriously. Parkinson's and MS and many of the other neuro disease foundations have "brain banks" -- they actively solicit from living patients and you can put it in your will.
Pretty sure Betty G researched this a year or so ago when she was scheduled for some surgery.
