I have been hearing the opposite. When you are too acidic it causes yeast and more problems.

Im not sure about the stomach acid question. But, as far as alkalinity making yeast i highly doubt that. Its acidic environments where yeast candida and fungus thrive. Basically every one of us with lyme and yeast are too acidic.
Getting our bodies back to alkaline and ph balanced for extended periods of time is tricky. It involves killing the bacteria along with following a very strict alkaline diet for an extended period of time if not forever.
If we are able to do this i beleive it will aid it us getting well quicker and definately staying well and not relapsing.
