I tried contacting Anneke, but it is not being picked up. There was a mention of a nasal spray with both antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Does anyone know what this is and which pharmacy it could be obtained from?

Grapefruit Seed Extract spray cleared a stubborn sinus inf for me. Sorry I don't remember the specific details, my ND was the one the recommended it. I've also seen Oil of Oregano sold in a spray @ the health food store. Both would be effective antibacterial and antifungal agents.

Di...It may have been a compounded med. I could use the info myself....though my ENT may have that information.

sounds like my COMPOUNDED one i was on called
"DR. T'S ANTIFUNGAL SPRAY"....
didn't help me; i had 2 to 3 bottles of that!

Hi there,
There is a compounded nasal spray for serious sinus infections. It has both gentramicin for bacteria, and amphetaricin B for fungal. A couple of my friends have had amazing results with this, more than IV's.
Let me know if you want more info on it!

I use a nasal fluch bottle (you can purchase them at organic grocery stores), and make a solution of salt water. Also, flushing your nose/sinuses with xylitol and water may be helpful. Xylitol has antibacterial properties. Just make sure the water is not too cold or hot. You want it to be as close to body temp as possible.

ArtistDi, I also use a nasal spray that used xylitol. It's called Xlear, and I get it from Prohealth, but I'm sure it can be found elsewhere.
It really works well for me.

Antifungal nasal spray
sporanox 0.2% xylitol 4% bactroban 0.2% triamicinolene 0.03% nasal spray with 2 sprays each nostril twice daily, directed up & out towards the ear on the side that is being sprayed, dispense 50 ml

Thank you, Pocono Lyme. I just wish that there was a name of the script that we could obtain.
I use Xlear already, and it does help. I think that I and others are looking for something stronger when a sinus infection hits. I can't take oral medicine well, especially antibiotics, so anything besides oral would be desirable.

poconomo ... I POSTED THAT; couldn't find it, but when i went to our new local compounded pharmacy, they called where i got it, and it was then called Dr. T's .... shown above!!
also, do a search for COMPOUNDED PHARMACIES that i started and then treepatrol was compiling info; i list quite a bit in there what pharmacy made that up for me and the price then!
