Just wanted to pass along this discovery I made.
I am currently on triple herbal therapy- enula, cryptolepsis, and artemisinin. And while these have been working moderately well since beginning them about 3 months ago, it wasn't until I added L-Lysine that my heart and energy got a decent boost. I've read that L-Lysine helps clear out virus's and parasites, so it would seem it may really aid in the clearance of Babs out of the system. thanks for listening, JL

How much are you taking? My daughter has been taking 1500mg daily for about a year.

I used to get herpes breakouts on my face. I started it a couple of years ago, and the problem is now non-existent.

This is interesting. My LLMD said that he has been doing research on high levels of arginine contributing to autoimmune and chronic illness issues.

Tocounter high levels of arginine, you need to build up your lysine.

We are just getting into lowering foods that contain arginine, and boosting those that contain lysine.

Just a thought.

I'm sooo pleased that the Lysine is powerfully helpful to you!!!

An alternative treatment MD recommended Lysine for my husband for herpes--500 mg 2 times a day. When he gets a flare-up, he increases the lysine by two-three times, and it goes away rapidly.

So, there may be a viral component in why Babesia treatment was not resulting in greater energy levels for you--whether or not Lysine directly effected Babesia.

According to my LLMD, fatigue is not a primary symptom of Babesia, but goes along with many other infections also. He's not looking at the end of fatigue to stop Babs treatment for this reason.

Of course, I'd LOVE for the fatigue to go away!!!!

Best,

Cass A

yes I take between 1000-1500mg's. Note: It helps but is not curing anything in itself- its just a tool in the box. JL
