TxCoord, and I just got back from a mini-break for our Thirtieth [30th] Anniversary. We stayed in an area of natural hot mineral springs.

We tried one of the Hot Tubs fed by natural mineral hotsprings. I am wondering if this could help ease soem of the pain and symptoms of Lymedisease/Bartonella and other co-infectants??

There are 20 some odd,or more minerals in these springs, depending on which ones are used.

If TxC' and I feel better for long,we'll go back up. If nothing else,it might ease his Arhtitis a bit. Tho' it doesn't seem to be helping his RLS issues.

ANyone have experience w/ this sort of baths/pools? Did it help you???

Thanks for input and info'!!!

Just Silverwolf

I think it depends on the person.

You can absorb minerals through the skin. This is why alot of people take baths in Epsom salt - it has a high magnesium content.

I have been to some places with hot tubs & mineral springs. It feels good to me. I don't think it's a cure but it feels nice.

Sometimes it's good to alternate between hot & cold. This helped me when I was in pain. Some places have it so you can use different temperatures.

Just go slow at first to see if you can tolerate it & you don't have any adverse reactions.

Definitely helps but an epsom salt bath would do the same.

I have rheumatoid arthritis resulting from my bacterial infections. Taking steps to eliminate inflammation is key to eliminating arthritis pain and damage as well as killing the bacteria and clearing up other toxic sources.

Some ways that help me eliminate inflammation are
#1-Diet. Certain foods increase inflammation like red meat and sugar. Other foods help eliminate inflammation like cruciferous vegetables. Additionally, your gut is almost certainly leaky which comes from inflammation of the gut and you do not have to have any noticeable stomach problems to have leaky gut. Once your gut leaks, you develop sensitivities to certain foods. Usually the foods you eat most often, even the healthy foods. Joint pain is a common symptom of food sensitivities. The offending food is increasing inflammation as your immune system sees the food as a foreigner and tries to eliminate it. Identify and eliminate your sensitive foods and your inflammation will drop dramatically. So diet is a big factor.

#2-Heavy metal toxicity. Toxicity from the bacterias. When too much starts attacking our bodies, our liver and kidneys and skin and lungs can't eliminate the toxins fast enough and we become very toxic. Toxicity adds to our illness and causes many of our symptoms including joint pain.

#3-Stress causes inflammation in the body. That is why stressful events set off arthritic episodes. Stress is affecting the gut inflammation.

One of the best detoxifiers for me was IV glutathione. The doctors gave this to me for months and it always gave a noticeable improvement in my pain. Today, I am on glutathione suppositories and I will be taking them for life as a genetic test has revealed my body is deficient in its ability to produce glutathione on its own. I no longer suffer arthritic pain.

Here is a great article about glutathione.

Glutathione is the #1 detoxifier. Also, I take fish oil and herbs to help remove the heavy metals. I am on prescription Welchol which is a cholestrol reducer (but not a statin). I do not have high cholestrol but my doctor says it is also good at removing bacterial toxins.

Antibiotically, I only take doxycycline 100mg Mon, Weds, Fri. This is a low dose pulsed antibiotic treatment for arthritis. It goes after mycoplasmas which are almost always indicated in arthritic conditions. Here is a great website about that. I'm also on plaquenil for my babesia and on a strong herbal parasite cleanse for the same thing.

Vit C, Vit D3 and magnesium supplements are vital too. Vit D3 at 5000 IU daily made a big difference.

If I have a day where my wrists or ankles start to ache, I increase my Vit C which is a detoxifier. It always seems to work.

Now, this last recommendation is something I do "just in case" it really works. It seems weird but is supposed to be good for arthritis. It is cheap and easy to do, so I follow it and honestly, it does seem that when I do it, no joint pain but if I skip it awhile, my sinuses seem to get a little more congested, my teeth get sensitive and my joints begin to creak. I don't know for sure but I do it just in case.

My rheumatoid arthritis was severe and in every joint of my body. I was unable to work and was housebound. Today, I am painfree, working, riding horses and thanking God every time I run down stairs, get up from the floor without pain, etc.

Treat the inflammation for pain relief and treat the causes of inflammation for permanent healing.

<<<<< Sparkle7, backintherain, and Luvs2ride >>>>>,

Thanks for info, input, and links !!!

We are not living in a place w/ a decent tub,so cannot use Epsom salts. I don't want anything leaching thru the tub, enamel is messed up.

So it is showers for us, until we can get into a better place, which prolly wont be until spring.

We both liked the mineral springs hottub, and would like to try some of the other pools. From what we saw, some were set up like swimming pool areas too.

I am wondering if I could make/buy our own mineral bath type product? Not sure what all is out there! [And I have to find a safe tub too].

TxCoord will want to read the info' links here for his Arthritis. When the weather isn't too nasty we'll prolly be back to those hot springs, it isn't to terribly spendy.

We are working to cut out the sugars,as I am recently diagnosed w/ diabetes. we still do meat, tho' we both like chicken and turkey.

Occaionaly we get a little venison,or elk meat, and now and again just some lean burger patties. I don't know if we'll have any wild game this year tho'.

I also wonder how apt our red meats are to be tainted w/ Bb or other co-infectant bacterium,And if proper cooking kills the harmful bacterium? I'll have to research this.

Oy...er back to the subject, I did like the little mineral baths we were at.They were just in a jacuzzi type hot tub. There is a huge pool tho' that we'll eventually try!

The jacuzzi doesn't run anymore because the various minerals mess up the pipes, and workings...so it is just spring fed hot water, and the bubbles are natural as they feed into the tub.

Each place is done abit differently,we were at one of the little motels w/ its'own mineral baths. There are several of them, privately owned.

Across the river are the bigger pools, run by the State. Gotta check laundry,so will BBL,feeling a bit spacey tired.
