I have always had certian smells that "set me off"/ or give me terrible headaches.

Such as the smell of pettulie? Not sure if I spelled that right(but it is an old hippie oil).

MCS is very debilitating. I'm sensitive to many, many things but the worst offender for me is jet fuel.

I have an unavoidable trip next week which will set me back for sure. Even with a mask, the plane exhaust finds a way in. I detox every day but still is not enough to take care of a trip like this.

Would love any suggestions anyone might have. [Smile]

I use a carbon mask from "I can breathe" and a personal air purifier that hangs around the neck called a minimate by Wein. Still get hit, but better than nothing. Also, drinking lots of green tea during the ride seems to help. Here's wishing that everyone around you on the plane is fragrance free!

Thank you Tonglen. I just ordered masks from i can breathe and am heading on over the check out the personal air filter.

I've tried one before but it seemed to have a smell of its own. Forgot the brand i used. Did you notice any smell with this brand?

Thanks so much for your help.

I haven't noticed any smell from the unit itself, but the air has a slight smell. Think because it's ionized air? Usually a 30 day refund policy so you can test it out.
