Another place to learn, if you have heard about the recent IL shooting, is a paper on the neuropsychiatric effects of having lyme bacteria invade the brain. Like syphilis, another spirochetal disease, lyme can cause behavior changes when these bacteria get into the brain.

And there are several good books, as listed on this website. Start with the Forschner and Lang books. A new one, not listed here yet, is titled "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub, St. Martins Press.

A new documentary will be coming to theaters soon, and eventually a DVD will be available that has chapters added to give more information. It is titled "Under our Skin."

And finally here is a website that has a good downloadable information folder on lyme disease and its coinfections:
