IV LBI can increase the concentration of antibiotics and some other medications in the pocus of inflammation.
It is known, that due to local edema blood circulation can be seriously disrupted in the areas of inflammation; for example, in kidneys. It was shown, that the concentration of antibiotics in healthy kidney is about 10 times higher, than in the inflamed kidney.
Laser irradiation helps to increase concentration of the antibiotics in target areas. Similar studies showing favorable effect of blood irradiation for increasing concentration of administered antibiotics in inflamed prostate gland

Design and Construction of a System to Study the Effect of Laser Radiation on the Absorption of the Antibiotics in Blood Prof. Dr. M. S. Mehdi, Eng. Rami A. M. Kh.
The results obtained from this study should be attributed to the improvement of reheological properties of blood, and an increase in the capillaries, blood flow, in addition to reduced vascular resistance and vascular tone which lead to increase the motion and out flow of fluids from the interstitial spaces in to the lymphatic system [12], thus blood irradiation with laser combined with intramuscular injection of Ampicilline allows to obtain higher drug saturation in blood in comparison with intramuscular injection of the antibiotic alone.
Intravascular laser irradiation of blood improves the microcirculation and the injected antibacterial preparation passes mainly into the lymphatic system.
The antibacterial preparation passes along the lymphatic ducts much more slowly than along the blood vessels. A portion of the antibiotic release into the blood takes place through the opening of the thoracic lymphatic duct and along lymphovenous anastomosis, intramodular bypasses with a subsequent accumulation in the organs and tissues.
The greatest portion is retained for along time in the lymphatic nodes and paralymphtic fat along the lymphatic vessels. Slow antibiotic output into the blood results in more long-term drug absorption by organs and tissues.
Thus intravascular laser irradiation of blood results in acceleration of lymph formation and flow. Laser irradiation of blood combined with antibiotic intramuscular injections allows obtaining higher drug saturation in the blood, and lymph organs of abdominal cavity, in comparison with intramuscular injection alone.
The stimulating effect of L.L.L.I. on the antibiotic activity is a key point of its therapeutic value. It is known, that low-energy laser irradiation of blood stimulates non-specific resistance of the organism, produces antiinflammatory, analgetic, immuno-stimulating effects, promotes the improvement of microcirculation, exerting a powerful, multicomponent, pathogenetic effect on quite a number of pathological conditions.
Finally the activation of microcirculation, unblocking of capillaries, enhancing collateral circulation, and improvement of tissue trophical activity, (N. N. Kapshidze et al., 1993) [12].

You have to be very careful with it!
Some people have very sever reactions to using the LightWorks while on anx.

Since almost all of us here will never have access to a red-wavelength LASER of the power needed for such treatment (very dangerous except in skilled hands), I'd say it's better to use an IR sauna &/or 102+/- degree bath or hot-tub. Posts: 1233 | From Dover, NH | Registered: Sep 2008

I never meant to imply to do it yourself. I just thought it was interesting in light of all of the treatment options... I would never treat myself with a laser - especially a high powered laser. I would need alot more education for that sort of thing.
LED may be useful to use at home since they are more diffuse but they are still very powerful.
It may be helpful for people using abx to be able to use less or have the abx be more effective. These studies/info also may be significant in regards to other drugs or supplements people may be using.
